I tried a search and came up empty.

My 580EXII on the 5DMKII won't fire the AF beam ???

I have enabled in the camera menu, but can't get it to work ???
Any suggestions. Thanks.

The AF assist beam only works in single-shot, not in AI-servo. I'd check that first.

I think it can also be disabled on the flash, check custom functions. Also, the AF beam only works in one-shot focus mode, none of the AI servo or AI focus modes, so make sure your camera is in one-shot mode.

Yep. AI Servo is the issue. Thanks.
