got a message from someone recently, found me through flickr.

they want want to "pay" me to give them permission and give them 7 full-resolution images so they can blow up and hand around their home.

what's roughly the price for something like this ?

sorry if I'm posting the in the wrong section.

I'm starting to take a leap into more pro now if that matters or not.

It's impossible to suggest a price unless we know more about how they want to use the images.

If it's just for personal use, then it could be as little as $5 or so per 4x6.

If they want a large print to frame and hang on the wall, then it will be more. If you only offer limited edition prints, double the asking price.

If they intend to use the images in any commercial way at all, then the pricng will differ.

It sounds as if they want digital files, to make prints themselves. Most fine art photographers would not agree to that. They want to maintain quality control over the end product. If you allow them to make cheap prints locally, it's impossible to say what they might end up looking like.

How do you know they only want to print and hang around their home? Maybe they really want to print them for resale, on tshirts, mugs, who knows what. You would be better off selling them actual prints. I would not sell a digital file in the manner you've been contacted.
