got some new gear - a backdrop, and a softbox for my flash, and a 50mm 1.4. doing some test shots. would love some feedback (as long as it's constructive).

LOVE that first pic - I have one similar of myself and my first son at about 6weeks old....

great job on the lighting, etc!

Both are nice, but I really love the second picture. The lighting and shadows seem more Rembrant like and flattering in it. Also like the way the baby is looking at the camera.

both are really nice I think if you were to up the contrast some and adjust the wb a bit it would pop even more. both are super cute what great job!!!
