It would perform ok but the image circle would be smaller i think.

Bear in mind that its fully compatible with the Sigma DG 1.4 and 2 teleconverters which are DG mount not DC and are FF compatible.

Unfortunatly that would make it a 70-210 f4 or something like that with the 1.4x on. I already have the sigma 70-200 f2.8 so there wouldnt be any point. This lens got me pretty excited to use for indoor sports with a 1dmkiii. Its focal length plus f2.8 would be a killer.

How do owners of this lens think it will perform on a 1 series body?

It's one of Sigma's DC lenses which has been designed for crop bodies.. On full frame you'll no doubt get some vignetting..

Steve Sint uses this lens for his studio and wedding work - although on a Noink.

Nice to see you again! :)

Thanks Tony:)

I normally use primes in the studio,, EF 50mm f/1.4, Tamron 90mm Macro and EF 135L but this time I thought I'd give the 50-150mm a go..

I've just re bought this lens after owning the 70-200mm f4 L.My copy of the 70-200mm was really sharp but i just fellt it was too long for portraits personally.

I regretted the day i sold the 50-150mm and when i bought one the other week i think i got a sharper copy this time than the last.

Overall i'm glad to be owning this lens again:D
