I can't believe this thread is still going after a year and half (almost). I guess that shows what a bargain this knock-off bag is!

 Wow, it has been over a year!

What I don't get is how big the demand for these are, and there's hardly any supply. I wonder who manufactured the original knock offs (not the bagmans). It's been over a year and there hasn't been any new stock on it. What's left are the red ones that hardly anyone wants.

Just got my gray bag from bestoffbuy.com today. It shipped on Dec. 1 so only 9 days from China, I'm pretty happy with that.

When someone copies another legitimate product, the one holding a patent goes after them. They stop making the prduct, but have already sold goods to distributors. It's much harder for Crumpler to track down distributors. Hence the remaining bags.
This is how the new global economy will work as China continues to take over and consumers continue to seek out the cheapest options regardless of legitimacy. The government of China has little desire to enforce patent laws of other countries. Hence the volume of corruption and couterfeit products. Hence the emphasis on buying US Market cameras, lenses, etc.

one bad thing i will say is on the inside, the velcro "hooks" will come off when you pull the insert off. a few hairs of the black velcro hooks will be left on the orange interior walls. other than that, so far so good. it actually holds more stuff than i thought!

I ordered the bag in early November. I also ordered some lens covers. After the whole issue with whether the items were in stock or not, I sent them an email and was told that my order was good to go. Within a week, I received only the pouches and no bag. I emailed them and was told that the bag was sent separately and to wait a few days. It is now 6 emails later, spaced out over several days each. They always reply within a day so I'll give them credit for that. However, each time they come up with a different reason for the delay. More recently they've been blaming the holiday season. Then they blamed that bad weather in Europe... except that I'm in CA and the only thing between HK and CA is the ocean. I know people have gotten their bags before here, but I suspect they don't have a robust stock and are stalling. Each email asks me to wait a few more days. It's been 6 weeks already, so I've opened up a claim with paypal. I would recommend against ordering these bags from this company...

shipping from china does take a while. although 6 weeks is a bit more then i am used to, most international packages to me get here within 3 weeks, probably because i'm only 20 miles away from jfk international airport, one of the busiest parcel terminals around.
