Stupid question I know, but I cant seem to really find the answer....

Does the 70-200mm L f/4 come with the lens tripod collar? I know they have it listed as an accessory, but if you look on like amazon for example, it is like listed as a replacement tripod collar.

Thanks guys.

The 70-200mm f4 is small enough that it doesn't need to have a tripod ring. Cudos to Canon for making it an option for those who feel they need to have one.

Not automatically including it saves the average buyer money, and makes it more affordable for the masses.

Agree on the cudos to Canon, especially since they sell the ring for $100 plus, much rather make the choice myself. I did buy an aftermarket one on eBay from a Chinese org, took a lot longer than other overseas purchases and have yet to use it, the weight really doesn't justify the need...
