Hello,

My wife was talking about wanting a faster lens than we currently own. So, I was able to find a GREAT deal on a Sigmalux. $444 shipped to my door.

Anyway, I didn't know whether to go with the Canon 1.4 or this lens. I have looked at reviews for both and a number of samples. It seemed it was a win-win.

However, with the Sigma being a 77mm lens (as ALL of my other lenses are), it seemed like a no brainer not having to buy more filters.

I own the Sigma 10-20 and absolutely LOVE that lens. The build quality is fantastic.

Also, they are extending their return policy (Abes Of Maine) to January 15th due to Xmas, so if I do not like it (rather the wife), then we can return it.

My only worry seems to be the possible front focusing problems that numerous people have talked about on the forum. I hope that my copy is as good as my Sigma 10-20 was.

Mike

Merry Christmas! You're going to love it! I've been fortunate enough to find 2 great copies with no focus issues. It's my go-to lens in my kit.

Congrats!

Post some pix!

Also, is your Sigma 10-22 the 3.5? or the other?

My Sigma is "the other".

When buying, I was talking with the sales person who FORCED me to buy the 10-20 f4-5.6. I called to ask questions about the Canon 10-22 and the Sigma 3.5 and he told me to try this lens. That he prefered it to both, it was significantly cheaper, and if I didn't like it, HE would pay my shipping back and refund the purchase towards one of the others.

I LOVE the 10-20 lens. Just amazing!!!!

this one is a new one with a new finish from abes of maine.

needs +20 MA on my 5d2... im just going to send it in and get warranty work done and get it calibrated.
