You'll love it! I would suggest attaching an umbrella or some sort of modifier on it to soften the light.

thanks JayStar86. I think we put a sock on the beauty dish. Forot to mention a second WL1600 in a gridded stripbox to the left of the model. Take a look at the shadows on the ground, it'll give you an idea of the positioning of the key and fill light.

.... i figured as much but wanted to ask anyways to make sure if there was a second light or not.

Thanks for sharing the info.

Just got my two Einsteins, vagabond II, beauty dish and a bunch of other modifiers! Santa definitely came early! I can't wait to get these things out and try them out. A quick test of my brother swinging a golf club, and the Einstein stopped the action with no motion blur @ 80 w/s! This is gonna open up so many possibilities compared to speedlights!! Now I just need my mini vagabonds and the transfer will be complete!

Congrats Dave! Please post up loads of examples as I'm about to order mine and would like something to quench my thirst until they show up. Were you on the waiting list? How long ago did you place your order? It seems like the bottleneck is over and it's going to be available to order same day within the next few weeks. Are VBii's in stock now? sorry for all the questions!

I placed one order back in July which came about a month ago. I ordered the second one two weeks ago and it shipped today, however I told them to ship it before the finger fix. If i hadn't then I wouldn't have gotten it till the end of January. But my first Einstein had the stiffer springs in as a temp fix and I had no problems with my modifiers staying on so I told them ship me one of those with the stiffer springs and if I need to I can send them in later for the fix.

I got my vagabond II used for $150 which was pretty lucky! These lights are fricken sweet! Now all I need is a Cyber commander, one more Einstein and two mini vagabonds and I am set! Plus I have a brand new pelican case for their home :) All in all, its gonna be an awesome Christmas! Plus I am getting a bunch of modifiers from my parents for Christmas! I am going to have so many options its going to make my head spin! Good luck with your purchase!

finally getting as few of these finished. the 64" parabolic rocks. 5 bees for this shot, hair light is a little hot on purpose. I keep hearing how other lights are better, but for my needs, these bee's work well.

Here's one of Aimee from our session this past Friday. Gear: 5Dmkii, 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM (1st gen), B800 thru 22" beauty dish camera right. Triggered with PWIIs. I am using a retouching technique shared with me by paradiddleluke, to whom I owe a debt of gratitude!
