A year ago I only had...(Post what you had a year ago and what you have now!)

A year ago I had a Sony a700 and the Sony 70-400G, Sony 16-80, Minolta 50mm, Tamron 12-24, and Tamron 60mm 2.0 Macro.

Accumulated (so far) this year; 7d, EFS-10-22, EF 24-70 2.8L, EFS 50mm 1.8, EF 70-200 2.8L, and 100 Macro L.

It's been an expensive year, but worth it!

Expensive... that be an understatement! My lady keeps saying that all these lenses that were acquired this year [all 3 that are not kit lenses in my sig] are presents for the next many years' Christmas, anniversary, poppa day, b'day, groundhog, and goofy foolish curmudgeon days.

If I got presents for goofy foolish curmudgeon days I'd have a lot more lenses!

Year ago I had

Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 7D
35 1.4L, 50 1.2L, 85 1.2L II, 100 2.8L IS Macro, 17-40 4L, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8IS L, 2 580ex II

Now I have

Canon 5D mark II, Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 60D
24 1.4L, 35 1.4L, 50 1.2L, 85 1.2L II, 100 2.8L IS Macro, 300 4l IS, 16-35 2.8L, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L IS II, and 2 580ex II's still

It's been a great system.

A year ago, I just got a 50D with a 17-85 f/4-5.6, and still had my rebel with 18-55, 28-105 f/3.5-4.5, and 80-200 f/4.5-5.6. Now I have a 1D MkII with a 70-200 f/2.8L, 430EX II (coming tomorrow ), and the rebel with those 3 lenses. A nice step up I'd think!

Last year I had a 40D, a 28-135, a 10-22, a 100-400, a 580EXII, a tripod, and some accessories. Today I have a tripod. The rest was stolen 12/10/10. Now I am waiting for my insurance company to settle with me and hopefully to replace everything.

A year ago I had an S5 IS that was just breaking.

Now I have what's in my sig with an S90.

Sorry to hear that, Sparky98 . Hopefully your insurance company is treating you right.

Last year I had a Panasonic/Lumix DMC-TZ3 and no basic knowledge of how to make a decent photo.

Now I have: 20D, 18-55IS, 50mm1.8, 85mm 1.8, 430EXII, olympus OM 50mm1.8 and extension tubes for macro, and some umbrellas and such.

Coming from point and shoots to a decent DSLR setup has been awesome. I could never go back

Hopefully everything gets sorted out. Could an upgrade to the 40D come with it as well?

Now I have a 50D gripped, 24-70 f/2.8L, 70-200 f/4L IS, a couple of speedlights, umbrellas, softboxes, stands, and now I am setting my sights on a arca-swiss type ball head clamp and a RRS L bracket

year ago: 30D gripped, 17-40L, 70-200 f4, 50 f1.8
now: 5dII, with a tamron 28-75 f2.8 added to my lens

I was fortunate enough to pick up a reburb 7D and a 100-400mmL last week! No new toys for me for a long time!
