Wish I could. Unfortunately the 24-70 is the next one on my list.

I got the 100mm macro when it started. Looking for something wider than my 35mmL and my first two choices are not on the rebate list. :(

I am considering the 16-35 F/2.8 L

I am amazed at how well these kit lenses perform.

You and me both...for the $100 I paid for the pair of lenses (18-55mm, 55-250mm), that's if you take the $800 I paid and subtract the $699 body price at B/H, I think these things are amazing. Unless I enlarge my photos a great deal or start getting payed to take photos, I think these two lenses and my 50mm f/1.8 may ( the 28-105 f/4L IS USM would seem to be my perfect walk around lens :D ) be all I need for a while.

I even borrowed a friends 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM ($1899) lens and to this newbie eye, I didn't see a lot of difference in the pics I took with it compared to my 55-250mm. Of course, it was just some low light pics of my son in a Christmas play and some items around the house. I'm sure situations will arise in the future where I'll wish I had that $1899 lens, but for now I'm content with these three lenses.

I bought the T2i kit + 55-200 for $860 to get into photography about a month ago. The 55-200 was only $10 when purchased with the kit.
Now im expecting the Tokina 11-16 on Wed, and am tempted to order a Tamron 17-50. I think your guys' sickness is contagious.

Got a 17-55mm f2.8 a couple of weeks ago. Got the rebate. Glad to get this lens. 2 events since buying it. Photos look great.
This lens will be on my 7D more than any other.

Ended up getting a better price on a like new one here on the Sell forums, but would have bought from Amazon, had they put one in my Gold Box... Ended up getting the 100mm f/2.8L Macro. Trying to decide if I want to trade out the 24-105L with a 24-70L, since my daughter is doing a lot of indoor stuff, and the extra stop would help with motion blur on her part...

What are the chances of Canon coming out with a 24-70mm f/2.8L IS? That would be the sweetest lens ever made, well, zoom lens, anyway...IMO.

I thought the rebates required you to buy a camera, too. Are there rebates for just buying a lens by itself?

I just picked up an 85mm 1.8 for my daughter's Rebel for Christmas. After playing with it, I'm going to have a hard time giving it to her. Maybe she needs socks instead.

I'm 99% sure I'm going to order a 5dii and an 85L close to the end of the rebate! Just trying to make up my mind of doing that, or getting just the lens and waiting for the next 5d body to come out.
