sort of, increased dinamic range would be more accurate as I blended the two exposures with layers inside PS :)

Works great for the shot! Congrats!:)

Picked this lens up from Amazon yesterday and am impressed with the first few test shots. The sharpness is crazy! Can't wait to use this in Vegas next week and on my trip through Death Valley in Feb.

Need a quick answer please.

Samyang is on sale for anther 24 hours (until next week when it goes on sale again  ) here http://cgi.ebay.com.au …2c59857722#ht_5946wt_1139 (external link)

I'm using a 400D atm but will be getting a 5d2 soon. I wanted to get the AF confirm chip and after a bit of reading I figured I would get the Nikon version of the lens and this adapter with a V5 chip. http://cgi.ebay.com.au …m1c18228b5d#ht_1837wt_905 (external link)

I'm sure it will all be fine but just wanted to double check whether the above two items will work with my 400D and then 5D2.

cheers :)

so long as the adaptor goes nikon to EOS you should be fine. Actually I'm kicking myself for not doing just this...easier than buying and fitting the canon chip to the canon version.

I just checked the ebay link you posted....that's where I got my Samyang, only at the full price, not just a few weeks back:( ... ah well I guess it's still a good deal even for the "full price":)

Just purchased it. :) I would have gladly paid $500 (or more even) for this lens judging by user comments and reviews. Now, my problem is going to be a lens arriving in a few days time and an adapter arriving a couple of weeks later. :( I guess I can just cuddle with it and we'll get to second base later. ;)
