What's the buzz about shooting video with a DSLR?

Here is the thread with people working out the HDMI capture. I think where its at is to have the guys that write magic lantern to get rid of the crop marks, which the way things have been going should happen soon. From what I've read, blackmagic is the more successful digital recorder with the 5d mark II HDMI output.

Mr. Howdy. I use my sx20 to make short music videos. I have done things like waterfalls. The beach. A fighter jet air show (Hawaii in about a month). I can pass YouTube links if you'd like to see them.
