I went into Jessops yesterday for a 5DII and walked out with a 1D Mk IV. Fantastic piece of kit. Now I just need to learn how to use it.

and the used market may win 3 or so years down the road...

I had the same thought when I read that :)

I upgraded to a used 1Ds MKII and added a number of accessories (toys) for it: spare battery, 32 gig CF & SDHC Cards, Arca Swiss B1 ballhead, RRS L Bracket, a few cokin filters and a vest.

I finally moved to slr after owning point and shoot camera. Gifted myself with Canon t2i kit (18-105 mm plus EF 70-200 (IS USM). Reading the manual and starting to enjoy it.

I got an Elinchrom BXRi 250/250 To-Go kit and a 53" Octa Bank to go with it... That's what happens when I go shopping for D-Lite 2's. :)
