mine is on 550k, but that's on the life of the camera across 3 shutters.

Last shutter lasted until 524k so thats around ~260k out of the first two

My original shutter blew out right around 100k a couple years ago, so I'm on my second and probably somewhere north of 150k total by now.

hi i have a very dirty sensor, the person i bought it from wet cleaned it , it seams to have a coating on it , ? ive tried cleaning it but no joy, any help would be great , thanks in advance ,

Just joined the club 1dmkii. Love the quick af. What lens would you guys/gals suggest for the 1.3 crop. I already have 70-200L is. Just need a compliment lens.

24-70L or 16-35L are both excellent on it, and the 35L works out to almost a perfect fast-fiddy.

or if you don't want to drop all the $ on the 16-35 the 17-40 is great on the 1.3 crop as well.

I don't know how bad off it is but first thing I'd say is send it in to Canon or to an authorized service center to have it cleaned. Here in the states it runs around $50-$70US if I remember correctly.

Does pulling the battery and re-inserting it clear it ? I occasionally get an err99 on both my mk2 bodies, and that always clears it.

Tried pulling the battery and all the other tips from this thread and nothing works. Oh well :confused:
