Well I ended up going back down to M&T Bank Stadium for the Ravens' final home game of the season. Ravens' won't be getting a home playoff game for another year even with a 12-4 record (cough 7-9 Seahawks) because the Stealers schooled the Browns 41-9 and the Stealers needed to lose for the Ravens' to win the division. The game itself was a pretty sloppy with only 4 scores total between both teams.

Shot these with a D300 w/300 f2.8 and 80-200 f2.8. Shutter priority 1/800, ISO 800-1600, exposure compensation +1/3 for some. More on my website here (external link). Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the comment.

Reed had two interceptions this game and 1 and 2 were the first interception. I thought 8 was the second interception but I wasn't paying attention got my photos out of order. 8 is actually part of the first interception. So yes 1,2, and 8 are the same play. Sorry about that.

Pictures look great, but I'd say up the shutter speed more. To stop movement in professional sports you really need to be over 1/1000

Pictures are sweet! Reed is filthy! I picked the Ravens to go deep in the playoffs before the season with their moves they made. I'm embarrassed as a Seahawk fan that they are in the playoffs... Tampa should be.

Thanks for the comments.

Only problem the Ravens are going to have is they have to play on the road for the entire playoff run.

I think that's more of a problem for us than it is for them. No more photos. :(

First question: why are you shooting Tv? Why not Av, or even M?

OK, on to the pictures:

1: Nice timing, but the image is soft

2: Nope: back of the players and the BG is way too busy. This was an INT? If so, nice job on the timing, but sorry, you were in the wrong place to get this play properly captured. It happens.

3: Not bad, but way too loose, and the action is going across the frame, which isn't optimal

4: OK, but an odd crop. The Ravens' #26 adds nothing to the shot and should be cropped out. I'd have shot or cropped this vertical to emphasize Benson.

5: OK, but too late. This is just a picture of a player on the turf with the ball is his hands. The action has already occurred a few frames earlier, at the moment of the tackle.

6: Good timing but way, way too soft

7: Not a bad stock shot.

8: Another stock shot, and again I'd like to see both of the runner's eyes looking directly at the camera.

I might end up going to Pittsburgh or New York. I haven't decided if Im going to try and go or not. It really all depends on if one of the guys I shoot with gets another credential for the playoff games but I wont be going for Southcreek if I do go.
