very cool shot moedizzle! I need to get more creative with my 365 but I work literally from dusck to dawn right now and I'm waiting for my lgihting gear to get here. .

Thanks! I know how you feel, I work long days as well and I couldn't think of a single thing to take a picture of yesterday. Until... I got home and saw what was for dinner. lol

Prodigy- You won't regret the purchase of this lens. I too use this on a 5DC and I lOVE this lens to death.

i was set on either this or a 24L but the price difference between the two is a bit much for me. i think im gonna set with the 35 for now. then save up for my own holy trinity of primes.

The 24L seemed too wide and had too much distortion for my taste. I find the 35L plenty wide enough for most things I shoot and like the perspective on full body shots without haven't to get too close to the subject.

Read the last part of my sig ;) It's true though! I'd have my 56" LED TV with a Klipsch surround system and Triumph D675 if it wasn't for this place haha.

Just wondering, but how many of you guys use the lens hood with this lens? I use it almost all the time outdoors, usually never indoors. I find taking on and off the lens cap with the hood on is pretty annoying sometimes.

^I use the hood all the time for all my lenses (except UWA at times) - but I don't use filters. It's a personal preference thing.

I've been using it all the time and have been on all my lenses that have them. I'd consider myself pretty lazy haha but not too tired to twist a plastic hood lazy ;)

I use pinch caps, which helps.... but honestly, I only use a hood when I know I'll be swinging the camera around and hitting stuff, like in a crowd or doing urban exploring, etc... otherwise, no UV filters and no hoods for me. They just get in the way for me.
