I tried to get the word out! Haha, it's hard to coordinate these things just over a forum.

I have a vehicle! My buddy can't go with us unfortunately but he's going to let me borrow his truck for the day so I can take myself + 2 people comfortably (have to leave room for gear!)

Awesome! So now we just have to figure out what time we are going to do this at. We can meet up early, grab a quick bite and roll out.

Yes. I'll re-update the first post.

Are we really shooting for Sunrise out at Salton Sea? We need to be there early to have time to setup too ya know?

Sunrise should be just before 7am out there, so we would probably want to be there by 6am to have time to find spots to shoot.

If you guys are willing to be up that early I'm game as well.

I'd let you borrow one of mine, but I use Arca-Swiss type mounting plates so you'd have to have one for your camera already (I still need one for my second body haha!)

I'm bringing a lot of stuff, most of it will stay in the truck and I'll grab what I need and throw it in a smaller bag. I'm only bringing 1 580exII though, Not intending to do flash work.

Alex - don't worry about meat, I'll be bringing burger patties, buns, some condiments, and at least one flat of water (35 bottles). I can definitely bring eggs, and I can bring a couple of old frying pans if we want some stuff we can trash (burned eggs - fun cleaning).

Still don't have a lot of equipment, so I'll bring what I have (lens, body, tripod, flash, blah blah blah)

A good friend will help you move.
A true friend will help you move a body.
An old friend more than likely will pass on either because of a bad back.
