Excellent stack! I was never any good at 'handheld' stacking - far too slow for most bugs and with focus points all over the place but usually not where I need them to be :) I usually manage a few shots but not enough for a clean stack. You truly are a master :)

Nice, getting creative on #5. I think I finally seen one of those yesterday, but it was so small and by the time I change the magnification it was gone.

Kurt the Phart is just a glowing edges filter in PS with some levels correction

macroshooter - once you get familiar with how small these things are, you start seeing them all over the place :)

Most likely place is to find them on the underside of damp fallen leaves but you can find them almost anywhere once you realise how small they are. They also seem to like damp wood.

I love how the bodies on 2 and 4 look metallic! Those are great shots, I imagine that these photos require some serious technique.

Do you usually use a tripod?

THanks for the comments :)
Screaming Swifts - don't think there are many cute looking bugs around but these globular springtails are one of them, but all bugs are interesting :)

bzollinger - No I don't use a tripod but for most high mag shots I do, I'm resting the camera lens on something (often the same surface the bug is on). Main difficulty with these tiny bugs is getting low angle shots of them but shooting them on a curved surface helps.
