This little church is just a few miles from my house so I thought I'd give it the HDR treatment.

I like the HDR treatment. Not overdone like many I've seen.

VERY nice processing R1...am curious why the clouds seem to be ghosting (not known for speed).
What did you shot these at ....esp what speed between exposures?
Do you have any landscape orientation? Looks like you could crop out some foreground for the sake of a more horizontal view.

Thanks Spike.
Nothing formal as far as landscape photography is concerned. It wasn't windy on the ground that day but the clouds were moving pretty quick. As far as the speed of bracketing goes, this was a 7 shot bracket: 3 over, 3 under and the EV-0. The over and unders were quick with the auto exposure bracket. Then going back to single shot. But like I said the clouds were moving loke they were late for something.

The photo is nice. But I would also try shooting it landscape, using rule of 3rds as basis withe church in the bottom right intersection. Leaving a little room for the church front to "look into." It might be a good look. Can't really recrop it that way with this image. Just a thought.

Agree with the others who suggested warmth, contrast and more room on the front of the church.
The stuttering clouds might necessitate a fast shutter and a three-shot bracket so its over before they move too far...

QUOTED IMAGE

I like it, very natural looking. Could maybe use a contrast layer to bring out the building a little more, but the sky and ground look very natural.....looks really good the way you processed it. I shoot real estate for a living, so getting it natural with the colors right is a BIG deal for my clients.
