superb shots Dave, fantastic detail. Love the fluff bal and the beauty of a back ground.

Somehow I knew these would be good when I saw it come up. Great Shooting!

Good morning Bret... thanks so much... get lot of the fluff ball look on the chilly fall days, now of course there is a lot of fluff ball look around here in the -20's windchill.

Think I'd have to tranquilize them to sit still long enough for me to get shots like that. Great work!!

Rog

Ha :D pretty hard to tranquilize these active little birds, I am fortunate to have them with me 12 months of the year, so they are good, patient friends. Thank you Rog for looking in and commenting.

Nice, Dave; what would we do without them, especially in winter?
Al

Hi Al... it would be quite lonesome without these little gems, I would miss them as they brighten the most frigid day... thanks, and keep warm up there....

Really nice series of a favorite bird. Don't see them down here. Even as a kid in Virginia, didn't see them all that often. We used to call them "snowbirds" there as we only saw them in winter.

Thank you Betty for commenting, I am happy to say they are here each day and they make for great company. :)

Some real beauties here, Dave. Of course, seeing how these birds fight to pose for you, I'd say you have a real advantage.

They are beautiful little birds Dave, even the one without an ass. LOL

I have a mixed bag here right now, a pair of Goldfinches, two House Finches, a couple of Purple Finches a big bunch of Juncos and three Starlings, aside from my regular bunch of Blue Crows and a couple dozen Cardinals and my batch of Chickadees. :)

Great shots as always Dave. I've have learned to really appreciate these little characters this year, so much fun to shoot.

Hi Ray... they are just plain fun to have around, it would be a long winter without them... thank you.

An amazing collection of photo art Dave. You've really captured their character.

I wish I had one Chickadee shot as good as any of these.

Excellent work.

Appreciate the kind words Steve... the personality of these little birds makes each day a bit brighter.
