^^^ Sounds like who ever got a 5d mk ii refurb via CLP in the past few days was lucky to get a sales rep that "put it through" without knowing it wasn't supposed to be, etc..

Oh well, back to deciding what the heck to do... In the market watch section, the military website was offering 25% off on Canon on New Years Day only... Unfortunately I don't belong to that website but the 5d mk ii new worked out to approx 1850, a little more than the refurb with tax...

Nikon D4, Sony RX10, Sony RX100.
Past Gear: (most recently) 5D3, L's, etc.

^^ Which is a steal. A friend of mine is a Marine, but I couldn't in good conscience ask him to purchase it for me...even though he would have. It just felt like the wrong kind of promotion to take advantage of.

My hat's off to any and all service members who happen to read this, by the way. Thank you for your service.

So I wonder how long until the 60D will be on the program. I finally decided that it would be better for me over the 7D but as of now its so new its not even a refurb yet. Anyone have any logical guesstimates or knowledge of it?

best to call Canon and ask.

none of us work for Canon, so no point in speculative guesses.

Going to call them tomorrow I guess. I just bought a lens and the guy wouldnt give me an idea on it. It looks like earlier in this thread someone had talked to them and it was involved in the program.

Just in case someone is wondering... As of a few minutes ago, neither the 1D Mark IV, nor the 5D Mark II are in the loyalty program.

Canon isn't offering much of a deal for a T1i body refurb in the CLP. This was posted 3 days ago on dealnews for body and lens (currently expired). Just sayin.

Canon offers its factory-refurbished Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1i 15.1-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera with the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens, model no. 3818B002, for $499.99. With $15.99 for shipping, it's $133 under the best price we could find for a new, factory sealed unit. (We saw a brand new model last month for $16 less, since expired.) Sales tax is added where applicable.
(snip)
Deal ends January 8.
