I see most of you fine folks using L glass on the 5Dc. That's a place to get to for me but for now if I were to invest in the 5Dc how do the regular primes fair on it? I'm talking 35/2, 50/1.4 and 85/1.8. Also anyone doing any wildlife stuff with the 300/4 or 400/5.6 on the 5Dc?

Thanks,

Jim

Never had an issue with my 35/2, 50/1.8 or 50/1.4.

Elijah,

I have 3 AB800s I bought used on FM. They have performed flawlessly, my only gripe is the plastic housing where I worry a large modifier may break it when using the umbrella rod mounting, but hasn't happened yet. Pretty consistent light readings too when you measure with a light meter. If they work for Zack Arias, they work for me.

Taken yesterday during a photographer gathering. Nothing earth shattering, but the baskets were down in a basement where we were shooting.

Those would all be fine on the 5d.

The 35 f/2 is a hidden gem, IMO.....this is f/2.5 taken yesterday....on a 5d2 (sorry guys ;) )....
