I have some of my photos available on my site and on flickr. But I'm going to make a thread for them as well. Or I could just post them in here!

Here's my flickr set. I have some up already and as I add more I will post them in this set.

I guess it was a good thing I didn't go, my 40D's shutter broke after 50 shots at the park with my kids on Sunday. I would have been stuck watching for the rest of the day!

We went looking to get some new shots of my daughter playing for her birthday invites. At least I got a bunch of good shots before it died.

Gosh man I'm sorry that happened, at least you were able to get some shots that you needed. Send me a PM when you find out the cost of the shutter repair, I'm a CPS member so I could take it in for you and get 30% off the repair.

Nice! Thanks man!

Oh and it's actually the mirror not the shutter, I can see one side does not lift and I can see a piece of plastic that broke off. I'll see if I can get a decent photo with my phone.

Yeah I did some more reading up on the place, and apparently the water isn't toxic or really all that dangerous. The fish die because of a lack of oxygen, every year when the algae grows the fish run out of air, die, and wash up on shore. This also explains the huge amount of birds we saw because they're there to feast!

So yes the water is dirty, but it isn't terribly dangerous, it just can't regularly sustain life.
