I want to purchase a wireless remote for my 5D Mark II. Which one is the best for my camera?

The one that the POTN Support Shop (external link) stocks is very reliable.

I'm in the market for the same thing.

I see they have the Micnova wireless system for about $30.

I usually do business with Beach Camera (they are on my way home from work) and they don't carry this item.

They do have a "Zeikos Wireless Remote Shutter Release f/ Canon Rebel T1i, XS, T2i,60D,7D,5dM2 " for about $38.

Does anyone have any experience Zeikos wireless remotes? I cannot find a single review of them anywhere. I'm usually good at the research part of this but so far...nada.

Thanks!
Rich.

Hi Rigby

Give me an hour or two until I get home and I will give you the details of the wireless remote that I use. ( I tried the Canon RC-E6 but it was useless - doesn't work when a wide lens hood is attached ).

It's worked great for a couple years now, and still on the original battery!

From the "Categories" menu on the left, choose "Remote Controls. You'll get 2 options - wired and wireless.

Hi Rigby

This is what I use and it just works, much better than Canon's version.

If you're looking for something more affordable than anything already posted, I've had good luck with this generic remote (external link). My dad and I both have them and they work great with Canon and Nikon DSLRs (can't say with other brands as I haven't tested it with anything else), and at $3.85 shipped it's really hard to beat (yeah, shipped from Hong Kong, but my dad and I both got ours in less than two weeks).

I use nothing but the RC-1. It's great and it attaches to your camera strap, so there's never a moment where I don't have it with me. It's cheap and super reliable.

Are any or all of these RF? I'm looking for the same thing, but not an infrared version.
