I'm not a pro in this area but wouldn't Kenko's or Sigma's extender but as great but at a much cheaper price? Hi, I'm David.

I told my wife if she's really mad at me and wants me to I'll turn right around and sell it and probably come out ahead, but she reluctantly let me keep it.
