Inch, that's the Non-IS version not the IS MkII ;)

But still a great lens, I've owned it and liked it a lot. But size was an issue with me, so I kept the F4 instead :p

It looks like I'm going to have to do some strength training for my arms, because I feel like a weakling trying to hold this thing.

Oh and Maru, why did you go with Canon for the extender? I'm not a pro in this area but wouldn't Kenko's or Sigma's extender but as great but at a much cheaper price?

It was included in the sale and the price was right, so I just went with it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you paid for both?

Wow, that's a nice price! When I had mine, I paid 800$ for it. No box, no pouch or manual, lens and lens hood only. Oh and I managed to get an Hoya Pro CPL with it, for free :D

I later sold the lens for 950$ and kept the CPL for my 10-20 :p

Yeah, I couldn't pass it up for the price. I told my wife if she's really mad at me and wants me to I'll turn right around and sell it and probably come out ahead, but she reluctantly let me keep it. ;)

Tell her you will now sell your 28-105, she'll be happier ;)

(But don't tell her you'll use that money to upgrade your 18-55 :p)

Hahaha. I'm already looking at a really wide angle to replace the 18-55, but I better let the bank account cool down for a few months first.

Wow, look at that. A hotel room that actually has thermostat and light controls, as well as power sockets, available within arm's reach of the bed. Why can't American hotels figure this out?
