Wife portrait...kinda

I was setting up some gear and my wife was coming up the stairs betwwn laundry loads and I asked her to stand still for a minute. Shes great like that. This is what I came up with.

tiny bit more full light on the left side would have made them perfect.

These are OK, but you should raise the camera to subject height.
Shooting low like this accentuates the neck too much in these images, IMO. I would also ditch the edge processing. It makes them look very out dated.

Did you try to burn in the background around her head? There is a halo effect thats not working all that well for you.

No, actually that is vignetting that translated poorly to the rediculously tight crop. Looking at these alongside of some of the really nice work on this board makes me think "what was I thinking?" I think my subject/model/wife deserves better and we'll try this again next weekend. :)

The odd looking vignetting. It almost looks like it was done with a brush, so I called it "Edge Processing" instead of vignetting.

You're absolutley right. I shot, procsessed and posted these in a hurry which is not something I will do again. Not saying all my photos will be perfect from here on out of course, but they will be the best I can do at the very least.
