Late 2009 I purchased my T1i/500d. At that time I also purchased the 18-55 kit lens and 55-250 lens. I eventually upgraded my 18-55 to the 17-55 2.8. GREAT decision!

Tonight I upgraded my 55-250 to the 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. MY FIRST L LENS!!!! It's dark outside now but I'm excited to go out tomorrow and get some test shots! I was surprised that the lens is more beige than white, but it's no biggie. My indoor test shots still reveal that it is a very sharp lens!

With these 2 lenses I'm done spending money for a while. Hehe...

Just thought I would share my excitement with ya'll!

:)

Uh-oh, we got ourselves and EL-COHOLIC. ;)

Congrats - that is an excellent lens - one of Canon's best, IMO.

Also, you're not done, I said that about 10 lenses ago.

Congrats! But I warn you, L fever is HIGHLY addicting. For me, it started with the 100-400L, now the 17-40L, and now I want: 70-200 2.8L, 135L, 35L, replace my Tamron 28-75 with the 24-70 2.8L, and maybe a 600L (but that's just dreaming )

Man I'm gunna be broke for the rest of my life :(

Congrats, you will love it! My first L experience was last summer and I will never forget it. The only problem is now I am seeking to replace all my lenses with L's. Hide your wallet from your addiction while you still can.

I just got back from buying my first L too. I've had a 350D for about 6 years and wanted to get the 24-70 2.8L. One thing led to another and I got a new 7D body with a grip, the 24-70 2.8L, and a 580EX II.

My next lens will be the 70-200 2.8L II. Only seems natural since my current L stops at 70.

My batteries are still charging...can't wait to try this baby out.

Enjoy your new lens but not for long as you'll crave to exchange your very 1st "L"ens to a 70-200 2.8, then you'll want to have a 24-70 then the 300 2.8....congrats and welcome to the "L"coholics anonymous.

Hi, my name is Bill and I'm an L-alholic. Just added the 200 2.8 L Primepipe to my list tonight. I had the non-IS 70-200 version and loved it. Hope you enjoy yours!
