haha, yeah actually.. i cropped the top, too. you think it needs it?

EDIT:

it definitely looks better with space above the hat (others are on my flickr):

nice! yeah with that little added space on top makes it look really good. Especially now with the uncropped version. You have my vote for that one now. grt job

why dont you try cropping it in portrait orientation?

I think I may have a bad copy..

I took some shots of my dogs at a decently well lit room, and most of the pictures turned out blurry because the dogs moves a lot. But to me, that's kind of the point because it was one of the main reasons why I got this lens. I needed a lens that provides similar results as the 50mm 1.8 except I could take the shot at a closer distance w/o flash, and mostly indoor.

Here are the shots, what do you guys think? Could just be me not setting up correctly, which is very likely as well.

this one looks good. I still haven't figured out my copy yet. I haven't had a chance to take it out and shoot - only things around the house w/ similar lighting as your picture above.

lol sorry I'm still new to this forum. I simply copy and pasted the link provided by flicker into the image tags from using the "insert image" icon.

So yesterday afternoon I bought a 30mm off Zeyarova here at POTN....then this morning Royal Mail dropped it off at my door! So cheers, great sale.

No work today so I've been playing. I'm really impressed by how sharp this lens is, especially wide open.

Here's a sample with crop (no sharpening)...

That looks very sharp. I gotta wait till whenever there's actually some daylight to give mine another try.. one of the joys of living in the Pacific Norhtwest.. none stop raining..

Anyone have a "goto" setting they prefer to use on their Camera with this lens for indoor low light setting? I realized that at F1.4, a lot of my pictures looks soft because the ISO was pretty darn high 3200+.

The 35L isn't going to give you sharper shots in the center....It will have better AF though.....OEM AF is always the way to go if you can afford it.

I went to your flickr page to find out which aperture you used for these images but you don't allow the public to view your EXIF. May I ask which aperture you used?

Thanks.
