50$ shipped for the Meike battery grip! (That's the best off-brand one, same as Canon's grip).

But those are two unchipped batteries and will not work with your Canon charger. They might kill it. You would than need to buy another off brand charger.

;)

Anybody experience pop-up flash failure after using a 580EX II on the 60D? Can't seem to make my pop-up flash work and I wouldn't want to force-open it. Any effective fix to this?

Is this just with newer cameras? I have off brand batteries for my XSi and I charge them in my Canon Charger all the time with no issues.

With some quick research, im reading the off brand LP-E6 will not give a battery level indication on the camera. Boo to that! Guess this is one way Canon can make us pay crazy amounts for a battery

^^ Exactly, they will also NOT shot the number of shot you took with that battery. It does not report itself to the camera. Same for the charger.

However, Phottix makes excellent LP-E6 batteries, same as Canon ones at a fraction of the price. 15$ shipped for one. Might look costly but remember you can shoot over 1000 shots with only one battery, you can use the Canon charger and it will report battery info to the camera.

Great buy IMO ;)
