Linklights lpe6 batteries are chipped. So they are fully compatible.

Sure, but for 30$ more :p

After-market grips have been out for only two week, we need to give them time. At first, they were 90$. Than 80$. Now you can get them for 50$. As soon as more people buy them, you'll see eBay flooded with them and sellers will than ship over-seas.

I say one week to two week maximum before they ship everywhere for 50$!

I can also vouch for it everyone - I cannot tell the difference in performance vs the Canon - its a great deal and frankly shows how Canon gouges unaware customers... but we see that with their grip and, well, every accessory they offer ~

It was however nice of Canon to let the 60d use the 7D's same battery. The 7D has dual digic 4 and more demands on power - so when you pop that battery into our 60D - longer power! Yaayyy!

Hey Guys!

Got my 60D several months ago. So stoked!

Using it for both recreational shooting and my part-time professional work.

Check out my flickr photos. Almost all of them taken with the 60D and Sigma 17-70 HSM O Macro 2.8-4. Simply a sensational lens. Bought it over L lenses in the same range.

If you have any questions about how I did some of these shots, feel free to ask! I know this camera inside and out now.

Enjoy! These are not my professional works, "just" photos taken for fun. I like to see which ones are favorites, as it helps me tune my style to be more appealing to a larger audience.

50$ shipped for the Meike battery grip! (That's the best off-brand one, same as Canon's grip).

Too bad, US only, no exemption :(

I may have to sell my Canon grip and buy one of these! :D

I have heard of one of the switches on the hot shoe sticking after removing the flash, so that the camera still thinks there is an external flash attached, not triggering the pop-up flash to work. You just use something like a toothpick to release the little switch. I've read about quite a few incidences of this on dpreview.com, here's a thread about the problem:

Hopefully its something as simple as that..

Anybody experience pop-up flash failure after using a 580EX II on the 60D? Can't seem to make my pop-up flash work and I wouldn't want to force-open it. Any effective fix to this?

Welcome to the forum. I looked through the flickr album linked and I have to say, I love the surrealism of your work. Surreal shots of any kind (nature, urban, etc.) are probably my favorites aside from travel photography, in terms of both looking at them and taking them. Even things that start as just nature photography but then through pp end up looking rather surreal make me really happy.
