Whatever lens was used last, usually the 50L without lens cap.

100-400L on a 7D.

Why?

Because thats the shape i cut out in the foam of my peli 1510.

For my bag I grab when responding to a call, I always keep two bodies in there with specific lenses on them.

5Dm2 with 24-70 f/2.8L
40D with 70-200 f/2.8L II IS

Even if I've been shooting with other lenses, afterward I generally put them back in the bag as described above with settings back to typical starting points for shooting an emergency.

17-55 on a 7D because it is used the most and it fits in the bag the best.

Besides, you can't predict the next lens you might need and chances are it will be too long/short, so it doesn't matter anyway.
