There was lots of snow at Knockhill which slowed things down quite a bit,so I did'nt catch much action. I might need to work on my White Balance, not used to shooting in the snow.

Thanks for the feedback on the WB,I always think my 7D turns out slightly blue photos so I like to warm things up and often over do this.I also get paranoid about monitor calibration. Why do we photographers stress about such things.

Plenty advice on this site about panning, a technique I probably use too much, but I like the effect it gives of speed when a car is taken side on.

Setting a slow shutter speed on the camera and smoothly follwing the car, clicking shutter as it passes. I think this was around 1/60 ( as the car was not going that fast) but the technique does take some practice to get the right amount of background blurr but keep the car sharp.
Set your camera in Tv Shutter priority mode and set Auto Focus on and to A1 servo and have a go. To start with try 1/125 sec and work down, see how you go.

Cryton you must have been blooming frozen up there that day - even worse I was snowed in at home and never made it - so well pi**ed off as I was looking forward to it.
