LivingSocial is one of the bigger "flash sale" sites around; I believe it comes in second after Groupon. The Amazon gift card deal is legit. LivingSocial adds a twist though; once you buy in on a deal, they give you a designated link to forward to others. If three people buy using your link, you get the deal for free. The link given by the OP here is just that, so if three buy the Amazon card, the OP gets his for free. I think it's a worthwhile deal, but wish that the OP had mentioned this.

All I said was proceed with caution. I don't know enough about it but obviously they are collecting email addresses. At the very least use a secondary email address.

They'll send you a daily email offer. I do not believe that they sell your email address.

This is a VERY large company!

Yes, you do get a link. But it's still less annoying than Groupon.
