This is what I saw when I walked out the door a few mornings ago. C&C is encouraged. This is my first photo post. I have a lot to learn but I've already learned so much from this forum in the 2 months I've been lurking here.

Its a very nice first post. It might benefit from a little more contrast. If you have photoshop try either a levels or curves adjustment to make the blacks black and the lighter tones a bit more crisp. It doesnt need much, but a tad more might help.

Nice. Love how the color of the moon stands out against the rest of the scene. Well done!

A longer exposure is a thought too - this allows more light.... Usually, it's best to shoot when the color of the sky is still lingering, you get a more dramatic exposure w/the colors. I agree with a little more contrast - a dark, underexposed image can get a little boring. It allows for the colors to pop, especially the skies... Overall, it's not too bad. Keep it up!

FYI, you might want to try posting in the photo sharing section or critique forum next time. Welcome to the forums.

Thanks all. This is my first photo post and I thought I posted this somewhere else. I can't figure out how to delete the message and re-create it in the correct area. Any hints?

Also, this is the moon going down as the sun was just starting to come up.

You can't delete a thread once people post in it. I guess you'll just have to ask a mod to move it.

No worries Jay. You can always post pics in the thread for your model of camera in the camera section. You can also post pics in the lens section for the specific lens you are using. You may also want to consider turning on the "image editing ok" in your control panel. By doing so, it will give others permission to edit your image and re-post it. It can be helpful in getting some tips you may not have thought of.

Nicely done. The sky colors set it off.

A tad tighter to get rid of the house on the left would be nice. It's a bit distracting without anything to break up the outline as with the other houses.
