Here's four recent cemetery shots. Click on the image to access their Flickr page for full size versions.

These first two are from Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.

These last two are from Calvary Cemetery in East Los Angeles. Remember, NO photography is allowed here! LOL

I like the color and contrast in the first two. The halo in the last one is a bit distracting since it draws your eye to the bright spot....the tree, but the detail on the tomb is nice.

Thanks, I guess? LOL I don't see the halo in the last one though. Any HDR processing was very mild, if you notice the clouds around the mausoleum. I can't stand HDR halo's personally! The texturing was done with Topaz Adjust.

3 and 4 are over processed IMO. 1 and 2 could have been better if the lighting wasn't as harsh. In 2 the bright white of the water is so distracting it draws my eyes before what would seem to be the focus...the cemetery.

HDR looks good to me, assuming you were going for the over processed and/or grunge look

The first two are light HDR processing, #1 having some added contrast. #3 is heavy on the processing (HDR & Topaz Adjust) going for an extreme/erie look. #4 is some mild HDR processing with Topaz Adjust Dramatic to bring out the textures of the masoleum, the sky wasn't touched by that processing.

they all look great, and I too don't see much of a "Halo" effect on my calibrated screen. .

Thanks. I think if there's any halo it's just the clouds around the tree.

This is just the tonemapped image, nothing else done to it.
