Thank you :) The moon had terrible atmospheric distions going on at that point. I re-shot the moon about 5 hours later with manual Kelvin setting of 10,000 to get the correct color for moonrise. I layered that over the original.

O.K. now I am no where near as good as you all as I am a 45 yr old beginner that is still trying to understand how to use this beyond creative or full auto mode...going to start some classes at national camera,but here we go...2 shots from my front door,first one is back in late november and the second one is about a week later ....;)

I believe they were taken with my 50mm.

Some great photo's in here. I don't know about you guys but I have a really hard time taking landscape photo's in the snow. Everything around is frozen up and the majority of the days are overcast and I find it really tough to go out and get as motivated compared to the spring/summer with everything thawed out.
