I have a tamrac evolution 8 (I consider this as my travel bag, it fits my laptop too) and I have a kata access 18-pl, which I consider my everyday bag. the only reason I got this, compared to the access 16-pl is because my camera has a battery grip.

in this bag, I can fit my gripped 7D, 24-70L lens with hood attached, 50mm 1.8, 580exii, and batteries.

ok, here's the minimalist solution:

Large enough to hold all that stuff. Cheap. Lightweight. Flexible.

I call my F-2 my minimalist bag. It forces me not to take everything.

I've got a Lowepro 180 that fills the role nicely and is very affordable.
