Using MULTIPLE strobes - creative examples - post yours!

tried some Mark De Roo style motion blur and such, for a first time I don't think its that bad, I want to get a few shots that were taken specifically for the motion blur, I think it'd work better but let me know what you think...

Mamma's Sweet Shop Wedding Cake

continuation of the Elements Spa Bridal shoot.

what bridal shoot is complete with out a wedding cake?

camera left was the 60 inch softlighter with AB1600

camera right was the 22 inch beauty dish with AB1600 with grid

backdrop was fabric 54 inches by 108 inches purchased from hobby lobby for around 60 dollars.

during the shoot i moved the key and rim lighting around depending on the shot we wanted but they always were in the cross fire arrangement

put in a "final" edit, redid some of the painting of the brown... thanks alot pham! I really like motion blur in pictures so I'm finally gunna try to start using it!

beautiful light on the cake, funny how similar lighting to models works well on other things

i think lots of people are going to do the peter dual back lighting..

what was your key lighting? looks like you needed one more stop of power for the key..

James Hayes (he is one of the country's top senior photographer that i follow) his use of lighting is simply amazing.. also he is a member here, though i don't see James posting too much, i wish he did though..very inspiring work..


here is a great example of a single back lighted well balanced dreamy shot.. (i know peter did 2 lights, but you can do this with a single back light and not so intense and still get great results)

^ Love it... Models, background, lighting, and framing... Tack sharp, too... Good stuff, Phamster!!! If i may offer a suggestion... I think you're due for a new logo... The simple, highlighted, and beveled/embossed text doesn't illustrate the wonderful work you create, develop, and share to the masses...

Anyone want to create a logo for our boy, Phamster?!

All I can say is wow!!!

This guy's images are amazing! It's like another Pham! I just checked out his photostream and am still just in awe...

P.S. And I agree, Pham needs a new logo that is just as amazing as his images!

We frequently chat back and forth. This guy does excellent work and is wonderful if you ever get a chance to pick his mind. To second Pham's approval and draw attention to him I couldn't agree more. I've been following him for a long time.

AB1600/AB 30x60 Sofbox in front about 6 feet high. AB800 AB 10x36 Stripbox at floor. Clamshell set up. Thunder Gray BG paper.
