Yeah, me too, and Cat very nearly bought my EQ5 mount and achromatic refractors if I remember rightly. Does show what can be achieved in a short time with dedication and effort and skill (and money!) ;)

(I did secretly wonder how long it would be before Cat got an Astrograph!)

LOL, could not resist a fast flat astrograph scope and you are right, it was only a matter of time.

I now use a dedicated CCD, hence the reason I only post a little on here now as is a canon site and I realise that it isn't a fair playing field. So I hope it doesn't bother people the odd post from me.

Thanks for all the kind comments, it has been a rather interesting 18 months, lots of learning and fun and help from everyone on this site / forum section.

Don't be daft...I don't think the "Rules" regarding the Astronomy forums speculate Canon cameras only...I bet not even 10% of shots here are taken on Canons.

Canon EOS 450D, Sigma 18-200mm, Canon 50mm f/2.5 Macro, 2x TC, Revelation 12" f/5 Dobsonian, Mintron PD2285-EX webcam.

The "canon camera" info is on the main page for the entire website, not in individual forums. It does say that this website is aimed at Canon cameras and equipment, but I've never seen any of the moderators or users object (other than occasional good-natured jab) if somebody uses something else.

I will bet that half or more of the shots in the Astro forum are using canon bodies, though.

Gripped 7D, gripped, full-spectrum modfied T1i (500D), SX50HS, A2E film body, Tamzooka (150-600), Tamron 90mm/2.8 VC (ver 2), Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon 24-105 f/4L,Canon EF 200 f/2.8LII, Canon 85 f/1.8, Tamron Adaptall 2 90mmf/2.5 Macro, Tokina 11-16, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC and Celestron NexStar 102 GT telescopes, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.
