Do you really need nice L lenses?

As enjoyable and time wasting exercise it may be may I suggest to /endthread ?

There are some who enjoys taking the "p" out of pleasure of picture taking. Great, you have your moments of glory. There are some haters of L lenses but still buys them. :) why conform? As long you are not stealing to get them then it's your/their choice.

18-55 non IS doesn't seem to get as sharp of images as my 135L. should I send it off to canon to be calibrated?

"Need" L lenses!?!?!?!? Do I need to drink my own urine? No! But I do it anyway, cause it's sterile and I like the taste.

This was shot with a 35 f/2--a non-L lens.
