Slapped the magic drainpipe on my 5D today. Holy heavy batman! And yep, can definitely see where IS on the 70-200s comes in handy.

Of course, testing sharpness and fun stuff with little squirming kids is not the best. lol

Still....I'm gonna love this lens! It's pretty sharp for a zoom. =)

Going to test this bad boy out now that I have working editing software. Going on a weekend trip to a college higher up in Sweden. I'm attending a couple of lectures by some of the best swedish photographers, going to be damn interesting.

Lots of old stuff but hey I am a student

Stumbled across an awesome deal on a Gripped 5D. Other gear wasn't fully sold yet, but I had to bite the bullet. I am so stoked.

Camera arrives on Tuesday -- can't wait to spend some quality time in this thread.

If it feels heavy, you might want to invest in a monopad. It will also help if you need to slow down that shutter. It doesnt have (is) so you will need to keep that shutter speed up. i would say nothing below 1/125- 1/160

Just got one for $50, there was some water damage but I fixed that (clock battery and two cables..).

Nice camera indeed, and I was amazed its high iso performance compared to my other bodies, 40D and 1D mk2. First shot @ ISO3200
