Black spot , any Idea ?

I just noticed this black spot in the bottom center of the frame . It can be seen when framing the shot in the LCD monitor . The camera is an old Canon A620 . I don't use it much , so I don't know how this happened . Any ideas what it is , or how to remove it .

either there's something on the exterior of the lens (which I presume you've already checked for), or (more likely) somehow that thing worked it's way into the body & is stuck on the lens or the sensor. Since the A620's all all-in-one camera body/lens thing, I doubt you'd be able to clean it yourself (unless you're comfortable enough tackling that kinda job in taking it apart!)

either that, or that thing is a tiny vortex/blackhole in it's infancy!

I might see what I can do . But since I now know it's there , I can work around it , for the most part .

I like that .

I had spots that showed up, out of focus, with my PanyZS3. They serviced it (warranty) and it was debris within the lens. They took the lens apart, cleaned it, assembled it and aligned it.
(Makes me nervice whether they can do this in a repair shop. But it seems to have worked.)
The spot is gone!

I thought that it might have been something on the sensor itself, since the camer is not sealed.
