I've read the reviews of the Kata 467 and went to the Kata website and noticed they have a new model called the 467i. I can't tell the difference between the two since they both look alike and weight the same. Does anyone know what the difference between the two are??

Also, I'm curious to find out how does it feel with a laptop loaded in the rear compartment. Does it sit too close to the back so that you can feel it when walking?

The only difference is there is a strap on the side for a small tripod. Using the strap you use the mesh compartment for one or two of the feet. I have the original bag and the laptop padding is fairly thick, but because the laptop stiffens the back, you are KIND of aware of it. What you mostly feel is the added weight.

I just bought the 467i and another thing that appears to be different is the shoulder straps connect on the person's side of the laptop zipper instead of on the other side of the laptop zipper by the handle. In the videos of the original DR-467 you can see the user has to move the shoulder straps out of the way before the laptop bay can be accessed. I sorta liked that as it seems to be less stress on the laptop zipper the way the original was setup so hopefully this change won't be detrimental to the 467i.

Regards,
Peter
