Finch in our weeping cherry, snapped on Tuesday, before the heavy ice hit. Barely found a hole through the branches to get a clear shot(finch was other side of the tree), and wish I had used just a bit more DOF so more branches were in focus, but still happy with the pic. :)

Nice shot. I like the dof. Makes the finch stand out and gives a very pleasing soft look to the rest of the photo.

I agree with the comments on the DOF as-is. There's enough in focus to establish a setting, while the bokeh is pleasing and really makes him stand out. Nicely done!

Some clicking occurred, a few lenses were involved, that's about all I know ...

Hey, thanks all. Appreciate the comments and feedback.

On the DOF, I agree, this is a pleasing image, and I am very happy with the capture. In person, I really liked the tunnel/framing effect I got looking through the tree, and would have liked to capture a bit more of that, that's all I was thinking. I'm not sure if I would have liked that image or this one better, but would have liked both to compare. :) That's what I get for firing in Tv mode at the time, and couldn't change apertures quick enough to get a second shot when I realized what I was looking at. Again, not at all disappointed in this image. :)
