EF Lens Work III

If you can only get one lens, probably need to start with a zoom. The kit lens is decent from what I have heard. Then work on getting primes later as budget allows.

Nothing is impossible.

Does anyone know the status of this book?

8th edition, September 2006
9th edition, March 2007
10th edition, March 2008
11th edition, August 2008
12th edition, October 2009

Seems like there should have been an updated edition by now. Have they stopped publishing this title? Are they maybe preparing Lens Work IV?

[edit] OK, it looks like there was a 13th edition dated March 2011, can anyone confirm? What recent lenses are included?

Mark, I did get a now much superseded copy in the UK when first starting out with EOS, that was from a now defunct web supplier, nice hardback £10-20 from memory in 2004.

You could try large Canon stockists, Canon UK themselves, I also hear you get the book as part of joining Canon professional services - not sure if this is true.

You get a copy of the book when you join CPS in North America, but not in the UK as all I received was a membership card and a lens cloth!

Ha, I kind of expected that, typical UK supplier.

After reading this thread last month, I googled and found a 13th Edition (March 2011) had been advertised for a month on MPIX, and got it for $30. Great find! I used to have a paperback Lens Works 1, wish it was still around.

I did a quick Google and found it on Amazon for a "reasonable" 79.99.
