They will come out with an interchangeable version in the future - Just make sense. For now X100 still a great deal and a must have.

Why would they want another me-too system when they can fill a niche. Some of us actually want the simplicity of a fixed lens.

I hope so...

It doesn't shoot film or offer "art filters," so I fail to see the hipster appeal. Especially at $1200. At least where I live, all the hipsters are poor. Then again, most people here have never heard of a trust fund...

I was referring more to the general buffalo area, but yes, you are right. Have you been to fredonia?

Hanging out in buffalo I often find myself wondering "is the stereotype unfair, or are the hipsters here just unusually chill and friendly?" My friends in other areas tell me it's just here. Oh well. I used to think the cliquey BS-filled highschools in so many teen movies were a myth propogated by out-of-touch scriptwriters, until I got to college and discovered that I just happened to go to an unusually down-to-earth highschool. I now regard WNY as "the weird corner," and I love it.

Grew up in Batavia, Moved to Buffalo (lived on Allen, guess that makes me a hipster), Parents live in Gowanda, and half of my friends go to Fredonia. Now I live in LA and can't say I miss the cold. To answer your question, yes I've been there.

Now to buy me that X100.

Having participated in a number of midnight bike rides issuing from Allen, I suppose I could probably make the cut myself.

Good luck on that X100. If I want one I imagine I'll have to wait until it's been on the market for about 5 years and comes down to half the price...

I've been lusting over this camera since I first read the specs. I'd like to try one out once they release.

omg I'm a hipster. lol. Didn't know what the term meant and so I looked it up and it pretty much defines me I guess. All these silly little names people make up for each other and their groups. lol

I really want to get this camera but there is no way in hell I can justify it when I still need more lenses and a dslr upgrade.

I don't know what I was expecting, but the camera seems much smaller than I thought it would be

3 months or so ago on the X100 site I left a comment how I wish they had made this an interchangeable lens camera and Fugi responded that they were not interested in interchangeable lenses (obviously). I forget exactly what they said. It's on that site somewhere.

Here's a preview (http://everythingphoto​.net/?p=53) of the camera, same guy who wrote the article on a well known Norwegian site. He says that the camera is bigger than it might seem in pictures.

I would like a camera with interchangeable lenses but I can understand if Fujifilm don't want to do that, at this time any way. Looks like it will be a Leica for me but until I have the money for that I will get the X100.
