Well.. looks like I am going to be selling my 85L and picking up the sigma soon! anyone else do this and regret it?

A lot of us here have gone from the 85L to the Kegma, I think most are quite happy..

Clarify "distance" Nick...Are we talking beyond 20-30' ? Like if you're shooting street with it, you aim across the street and it BF'd sometimes?.....I ask, because this is how I use mine quite often...I have of course heard of this happening with both the 50 and the 85 as you say but have yet to experience it.

I should also mention that I just did some test shots in the building I work at (think office floor with cubicles) and shot multiple things from multiple distances including soemthing 25 feet away and it locked on perfectly fine. It's hit and miss but again, not a huge deal as that's not what I'll be using it for 99% of the time. I'll post pics later tonight after the shoot and a movie. (anyone see Tru Grit yet? :))

good focus. The CA is very obvious now. This time is the green fringing. Hmm....

Haven't posted any pics for a while, but this is now my favourite lens and produces consistently excellent results:

Great shots Kim! It was drizzling here and told my buddy that I needed a quick shot of the day for my 365. I found out testing earlier that +10MA is spot on. I slapped on the 5dii and took 2 shots. Both came out perfect. The CA is clearly obvious now but nothing I can't quickly correct in post.

Spent an hour playing with this lens today...kinda fell in love with it. Considering it's less than half the price of the Canon and weighs 30% less, got a feeling it shall be mine fairly soon :D

QUOTED IMAGE

Nice! Mine is at +10 MA on the 7D and 0 on the 5DII. Both combos give stunning results!
