She told me that wasn't the reason, but part of me thinks that may had some thing to do with it. Glad I didn't by that 70-200 f/2.8 lens...LOL!! Images in the Backcountry

Jan 26, 2011 20:16 | #51 You still need the 70-200 F/2.8 for her cheerleading/dance/whatever follows gymnastics. There $2299 reasons to buy a 70-128 2.8 IS USM lens... Brice

At our gym they also have cheerleading, but she doesn't want to do that. I've heard that she is interested in Soccer. Images in the Backcountry

My daughter took a year off after level 7. I think she was just burnt out. We made a move to a new state and she decided to leave it for a while. She's back doing club and high school gym this year. She started back last year with just HS and decided to go all out this year. Give it time; she may want to come back after a bit. I used mostly an 85mm 1.8 lens on a Canon T-90. Used spotmeter on a leg and set exposure manually which was ISO 800 1/250 at f/4 for the entire event.

I used an 85 1.8 the other weekend for some gymnastics shots and found proper focus on my target areas to be a bit tricky with it wide open.
