
That I can agree with. I just don't see how people expect to get unlimited online storage for $50 a year. I know I couldn't set up a datacenter to provide that and still sleep at night.
Well when people asked Mozy if it really was unlimited storage the answer from Mozy used to be that with Mozy unlimited means unlimited. Thats why so many bougth into it.
You most likely are correct that the money just is not there. But the strange thing is that it appears that Mozy just only a few months ago realised they were loosing money?? Come on they have been in this business since 2006 offering unlimited storage. They can't say they did not know the storage requirements would be huge. So this leads me to speculate they migth have had this planned from the very beginning hoping that a percentage of the power users would have no choice but to stay with them and pay the hefty price. Kinda like drugdealers give the addicts the stuff for free and when they are hooked charge the heck out of them.
