My question is about the manual you can download from the Canon USA site and print to letter size. How do you get rid of the word "copy" that appears on each page? Or can you?

Hmm -- that's a function of read-only Acrobat Reader. I don't bother printing the manuals -- I download them onto my two computers and put an icon on my desktop for quick reference.

First of all here's a link to the 7D Pocket Guide -- that should get you a long ways in the field although a print will still have the "Copy" watermark.

With my first DSLR, though, I did make up a "cheat sheet" that I printed and carried around all the time. It was partly a reminder, a "check list" for shooting, but it could also carry info that the Pocket Guide does not.

I print the manual so that I can read it and make notes, etc on the letter size copy. My old eyes like the larger print and being a newbie it is a good reference for me. Thank you Tony for the reply

Here is a manual without the "copy" written over it.
